It's Bianchi's 1st birthday!!! :))
|
|
It's Bianchi's first birthday!
Akala ko di ako makasasama sa dinner 'coz of stomach cramps (?). Buti na lang I felt fine just in time.
We ate at Bali Thai. Yummy!
I have to thank Crampy Tummy. The discomfort was nothing compared to the fun I had with Eggmeg and Bianchi. Crampy Tummy even knew when to take a back seat at the right time, know what I mean?

I thought it would just be Sir Jean and I.
I was supposed to take him, well, practically wherever in Singapore he wanted to see. Even for 'direction-challenged' like me, Singapore is quite friendly. I could manage this one.
As things turned out, I would be tagging along with some PwC-Phils Group C heavyweights (read: senior managers and partners!!!). They attended a one-week conference (on IFRS, I think) here in Singapore which ended on 13 May.
14 May, Saturday, was a major shopping day for them prior to going back to the Phils on 15 May. Apparently, they couldn't get enough of the shopping they did during the week.
WSM, Group C's senior partner, arrived on 14 May and met us for lunch somewhere in Orchard. After the hefty meal, it was shopping all the way.
For dinner, we headed for Boat Quay. The food was expensive. But it was fine with me. Libre ako eh.
We could have gone for some coffee at Starbucks, Sir Allan's treat, but it rained really hard. After some time, and maybe noticing that we'd not be leaving anytime soon coz of the rain, the Asia Wok staff offered a bright idea. They uprooted the beach umbrella and gathered us all under it and led us to another building, the UOB Centre I believe, where we were supposed to hail a cab. Sir Jean and Ms Gina took off their shoes and walked in the rain on their bare feet just so their precious and expensive shoes would not get wet!
We couldn't find a single available cab. In the end, we had to walk from Boat Quay to their hotel at Raffles The Plaza. That was like walking from EDSA Ayala to Boni Avenue in Mandaluyong...or even farther....
In any case, everyone had fun. I think. We just took pictures as we walked and walked all the way to the hotel.
It was one very happy and memorable experience. It was good that each one of us had an unlimited well of good humor.
p.s.
these series of funny incidents happened at past 12 midnight...meaning, we started walking the streets leading to the hotel at around past 12 midnight. buti na lang game sila lahat.

Dinner at Marche with JMB; Coffee at Starbucks
|
|
Andito pala si Sir Jean sa Singapore, he didn't even inform me.
Buti na lang Tina told me.
Anyways, we met up and ate dinner at Marche. The soft-shell crabs were really good, di ba Sir Jean? Say yes. hehehe.
Then, sumunod sina Raquel and Sansan para magkape sa Starbucks.

mati's rockwell with dear frenchies :)
|
|
i am so thankful na nagkita-kita pa din tayo.
it was worth all the trouble of having to go back to manila just to:
i) see you, of course!
ii) get blinded by tatinch's rock
iii) eat one of the best desserts - mati's chocolate sin
thanks a lot for the very touching kwento, tatinch.
no wonder, you are on cloud 9.
but then again, you deserve all the happiness.
good luck sa inyo ni jp.
as usual, can't wait to see you again.

mga eksena sa galera (from 30 Apr to 2 May)
|
|
this is a memorable trip. in more ways than one.
9:40 am or 9:40pm
no further explanation required. nagkakaintindihan tayo dito. mas naging malinaw tuloy ang usapan, i.e., flight or touchdown sa naia?, magpe-prepare pa lang or dapat nasa location na? gigising or dapat nasa beach na?
money changer
the ride
who can forget manong? oo nga naman, gabi na, nagpakahulog pa tayo sa banana boat. but it ain't fun if we did not 'drop', di ba? di ba? so cheers to our katapangan at nagpatihulog tayo lahat sa boat.
mindoro sling
cheap thrill. mas masarap pa sya sa vodka, sa totoo lang. di ba anthony?? napeke ka ng mga beach babes.
i had a lot of fun. sa uulitin. diving naman (para kumita si anthony sa atin)!

let's pretend it was 29 March
|
|
I got sick on 29 March. Of all days.
Fast forward to 3 April. I am feeling hale and hearty again (read: I wanna do some serious eating ) but I remember not having told my newfound friends in Merlion country about my natal day. Hiya ako eh.
But because it's the serious business of eating, I have to think up of some excuse to celebrate my birthday however late it already is. Nakaisip naman ako.
Salamat sa akin.
We end up eating at Crystal Jade restaurant.

KL in a day
|
|
for lack of anything to do, i joined my friends for a one-day trip to KL. yes, even if i had this big zit right smack in the middle of my forehead. go, look!
what was there to see? the petronas twin towers. and KL, in general. did you get to see the twin towers? no. why? closed na yung viewing deck. what is KL like? like manila, not makati. and for some strange reason, i felt like we walking around session road in baguio. but it's a little colder in baguio, so...basta. so, will you go there again? KL? not in the near future. maybe somewhere in malaysia where there's sand and sea. that would be a lot more fun!
the only good thing here is...na-update ko na rin sa wakas ang fotopage ko!
