Sponsored by the Singapore Exchange, the 'bull run' is open those who are game and brave enough to run the whole stretch of Singapore's CBD in office suits.
We dropped by to check out the celebration...and to eat!

From stunning beaches to sumptuous natural assets, from butterfly havens to underwater wonders, from five-star hotels to rough-it-out campstays, from luxurious spa treatments to gourmet meals - there's a Sentosa experience waiting to be savoured.
So come along and enjoy the island life. You'll love it!
ciemps, PR yan ng website, hehe. pero maganda nga sa place. actually, marami kaming di nakunan na pics. like the following:
a) dolphin lagoon where you'll find those very, very cute pink dolphins trying their best to please you with their tricks. galing! ; and
b) musical fountain - amazing ang special effects...pano ba i-explain 'to? very state-of-the-art ang lasers and computer graphics, may kasama pang fire. there were a number of water jets tapos, with the special effects, it produced a very, very animated show....hay, punta na lang kayo para malaman nyo, hehe
sa uulitin!

At the Jurong Bird Park
|
|
Jurong BirdPark is a 20.2 hectare open-concept park. It is the largest in the Asia Pacific and one of the finest bird parks in the world. Its collection of more than 8,000 birds from 600 species is among the largest in the world. The Park specialises in birds from Southeast Asia and the more exotic and colourful tropical birds.
The Park boasts of the worlds largest walk-in aviary with the tallest man-made waterfall where visitors can enjoy a close-up view of free-flying birds from Africa and South America in a tropical setting. Another walk-in aviary, the Southeast Asian Birds Aviary, showcases the regions exotic and endangered species of birds. Bird shows, staged at the amphitheatre and the Falconry Arena, are entertaining and educational and have thrilled our visitors from all over the world.
The BirdParks exhibits and aviaries are specially designed to closely resemble the natural habitats of the feathered species. Lakes and paddocks are built for display of waterbirds and other large flightless birds such as ostriches, rheas, emus and cassowaries. Besides the bird exhibits, there are also open spaces landscaped with exotic flowering plants such as heliconias and anthuriums to enhance the beauty of the BirdPark.
....yan ang sabi sa webpage. it's a lot more informative than, say, basahin nyo intro ko:
walk among 8,000 birds. at least that's what the manual says. nope, i did not count them, ok? 0)
dine with them (of course, they are not the food!). watch them sing, talk, play, swim and soar for you. pretty neat!
go there in your most comfy get-up and walking shoes as there are three walk-in aviaries to explore: the waterfall aviary, southeast asia birds aviary and lory loft (where 1,000 lories flock to you, no kidding!).
a lame attempt, i know. pero don't let that stop you from thinking of going there. i might not have done justice to the place sa kawalang kwenta ng sulat ko but you should definitely see it. it's very, very much worth all the pagod walking all over the place.
p.s.
i realized after i posted all the pics na talagang photographer pala ang naging drama ko dito sa trip na 'to. oh well. ok lang. there will be a next time for this. ;->

The Mid-Autumn Festival is a great opportunity for visitors to experience the unique ways in which Singaporeans celebrate this traditional cultural festival with a modern twist. With the Chinese Garden enthralling children with its Disney theme and Chinatown showcasing the more traditional aspects of the festival through the light-up and street bazaars, the activities at the Singapore River attracts younger visitors with its modern interpretation.
The Chinese Garden's lantern festival is a visual feast. Its Lantern Fun-tasy takes on an East meets West theme, with lanterns featuring well-loved Disney icons and characters from the Chinese tale, Journey to the West.
